History of Design

Dan Roam created this awesome illustration as part of his response to the Business Week article "Are Designers the Enemy of Design?".  I like this image because it so easily shows how the focus of design has shifted over time.   The power of images is Dan's interest.  He's recently written a book about how pictures can help solve problems, called The Back of the Napkin.
