The new OK Go Skyscrapers music video is so beautifully simple and elegant.  A couple tango slowly across your screen, moving from one color to the next and then back again.  There is something really mesmerizing about the intensity of the colors in combination with the slow, deliberate moves of the dancers.  I can't stop watching...

Alex Holder and her boyfriend reenacted some classic Harlequin Romance Covers in this Mills & Boom photo shoot for an International Women's Day Exhibit.  She bought the clothing from vintage shops and painted all the backdrops herself.  The photos were taken by Oli Kellett, Alex's colleague and artistic partner (a partnership I'm totally obsessed with after reading this self description).

This is the best TED talk I've listened to in a long time.  Deb Roy's TED talk The birth of a word.

The VW's The Fun Theory is an effort built around the idea that you can use fun to change people's behaviors.  They try to prove this theory through a contest where people submit their social behavioral experiments in fun.  You would probably recognize some of the entries (such as the piano stairs). 

In enjoyed the latest winner, The Speed Camera Lottery, by Kevin Richardson.  This experiment tries to get drivers to obey the speed limit for fun, by turning a speed camera into a lottery machine.  The speed camera takes pictures of people who speed, in order fine them, and pictures of people who follow the speed limit, in order to give them some of the money collected from the speeders in the form of a lottery.  The results are pretty impressive.

This comically meta Infographic about Infographic, by designer Ivan Cash, is just adding to my infographic obsession.

One large billboard or movie poster becomes 100 lbs of plastic waste materials in a landfill after as little as a month on display.  ReMakes  trys to avoid this by upcylcing old billboards into one of a kind placemats. Each set of 4 placemats is made from the same billboard, to give them a matching color scheme. Scan the QR code in the bottom of each placemat to get a daily conservation fact.

The Museum of Modern Art in New York has a recent crowdsourced art project of their own. They asked their visitors to share their MoMA experiences through poems, drawings and messages. Log & Squirrel is a super cute planter with training wheels. It is self watering (put the water into the bottom of the pot and it absorbs through an interior wall to the soil as needed). Plus, the squirrel disappears out of the hole to indicate that you need to add more water.
