Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 02:53AM I have thought about my favorite words before, but I have never stopped to think about which words in the English language I consider the most beautiful. Here are 100 suggestions to help make your decision. I think I'm going with evanescent.

One great word missing from this list is "semi-colon"
Ha, wrote about the http://kinosport.tv/2009/01/29/a-modest-announcement/" REL="nofollow">same thing recently. Not sure about all the ten-dollar words in that list - my favorite-sounding word is "bedspread". I wonder how much the meaning of the word influences this thinking . . . is there a horrible thing that has a pleasant sounding name (or vice versa)?
Yeah, I keep think of more of my favorite words. Some of my favorites fall into the beautiful words category, but then there are a whole bunch of favorites that are just fun to say, or sound perfectly right for their meaning, or remind me of someone special.
